Out of Area Rescues
× This website contains unofficial information to help us do a better job. Refer to the Brighton employee manual or your supervisor for official information.
Handling out-of-area rescues:
- Immediately contact the lead patroller (e.g., Max, Todd, etc).
- Do not go out of area without their permission.
- The lead patroller, or Brighton Dispatch when instructed to do so, will call 9-1-1 and say, "This is Brighton Ski Patrol. We have a report of an out-of-area incident and need to talk to a deputy." (This wording is approximate, but you must ask to speak to a deputy. They will give us permission to leave the area.)
- Brighton Dispatch must log the names and times when patrollers leave and return to Brighton.
